The beach by the lake is perhaps one of our community’s most well known landmarks, as visitors and residents visit the beach on a regular basis. The beach and water park consists of approximately 3-acres and is located in the Town Center. Like the lake, the beach and water park are owned by the Town of Lake Lure and managed by contractual agreement with a private company.
You will find us near Lake Lure, one of the top ten man-made scenic lakes in the world, nestled in the foothills of western North Carolina. We are within an hour drive of Chimney Rock State Park, Asheville, Hendersonville, and Black Mountain, North Carolina and the Greenville/Spartanburg region of South Carolina. Our neighbor just down the road is the Rumbling Bald Resort.
Our WNC region has long been home to some of the highest quality and most challenging mountain biking in America.Consider the trails at Pisgah, DuPont, Bent Creek, Kitsuma and Mount Mitchell.
